Join the Council on Saturday June 9th at Bear Lake Regional Park in Spokane County for the 1st annual district fishing derby. As part of the Council’s spring Hooked on Scouting campaign this event is open to cub scouts and their friends. Bait will be provided, and a limited number of fishing poles will be available. May Pack Activity – Shock Game

Our May pack activity the the Spokane Shock Vs Philadelphia Soul. It’s Arena Football on Friday, May 18 @ 8:00pm at the Spokane Arena. the price will be $10.00 per seat (Pack will pay for Cub Scouts).

April Pack Activity – Raingutter Regatta

April’s pack event is coming up next weekend. We will be having a Raingutter Regatta Sunday April 29th at 2pm at Colbert Elementary. The boys will be racing their boats down raingutters filled with water, using their own wind power to make the boats go. The boys can decorate their boats how they like, but it’s best to use an acrylic paint or a polyurethane coating to seal the boat. Pinewood Derby Race – Updated

The weight in dates for the Pinewood Derby will be Tuesday March 6th and Wednesday March 7th from 6:00PM to 7:30pm.

Our Pinewood Derby is schedule for Thursday March 8th at 6:00PM. There is no school on Friday the 9th.  The  weigh-ins dates will soon be emailed and posted. Keep planning on having those cars done soon.

Blue & Gold – Armed Forces

The Blue and Gold Banquet, when the boys receive their rank, is just around the corner (February 27th), and our theme for this year is the US Armed Forces. Each Den will plan decorations for their table at the banquet based upon their branch of the military service:

Tiger: Army Wolves: Navy Bear: Air Force Webelos, Den 6: Marines Webelos, Den 3: CoastGuard

Winter Campout

Hopefully we can enjoy one last bit of snow at the Pack 280 Winter Campout, which start on Friday February 24th through Sunday February 26th.

It is at Camp Cowles on Diamond Lake. We have the lodge reserved, which is a nice big building with complete cooking facilities, bathrooms with showers, and lots of tables for playing games.

Winter Campout is a low-key weekend of games and if we are lucky sledding. You may come up anytime during the weekend. Please let us know . . . → Read More: Winter Campout

Dates to Remember

Pack 280 meetings are held the last Monday of each month at 6:30PM (except in the summer) at Colbert Elementary.

The committee meets every month on the Tuesday after District Roundtables (except in the summer) at 7:00PM at Colbert Elementary.

The District Roundtables are every second Thursday of the month (except in the summer) at 7:00PM at the LDS Church, 2112 West Francis Ave
